| More information | The class does not require previous experience in twerking. You need knee pads or something soft to protect your knees (e.g. leggings). In addition, bring your own sweat towel. Twerkkaus, or twerk, is originally rooted in the dances of African tribes, from which it has merged in African-American culture into its own dance genre. As part of African-American culture, twerking is a familiar sight in rap and hip-hop music videos. The movement language characteristic of twerking is the different accents of the hips, the shelving of the buttocks and a strong attitude. Today's twerk has been heavily influenced by other dance genres, such as dancehall and reggaeton, but it is practiced as its own genre around the world. The class builds a better connection and understanding with the pelvic floor. Twerking makes all hip-focused exercises much more fun and enjoyable. No previous experience is needed, you come as you are and you can set your own personal goals during this class. In the class, we practice finding and shaping our own movement language through twerking. During the class, students get tools that they can use to expand their own business inventory. Each student gets to develop their style further at their own pace. The class focuses on being in the moment, interpreting music and finding new solutions. Cancel your enrollment at least 4 hours prior to the start of the session. Enrolling for the morning classes that start before 10 a.m. must be cancelled at latest 12 hours prior. Please remember that you are exercising at your own risk. Please follow all the safety recommendations and regulations given. |
